Ian went missing while travelling in India in August 1996. He was 21 years old and had just finished his first year at Bristol University. Although Ian had gone to India with his girlfriend, shortly before his disappearance, he left her to go trekking alone in the Himachel Pradesh area of the Himalayas. On 20 August, Ian called his girlfriend; three days later he spoke to his parents. He sounded happy on both occasions. Sadly, this was the last time Ian was heard from. His family is extremely anxious for news of Ian and urge anyone who may know something of his whereabouts to get in touch. They just want to know that Ian is alive and well and happy. Ian is 5ft 10in tall, of medium build with light brown hair.
